Strawberry Trog 🍓
Share
Trogs are magical creatures who move through the world weaving magic into the elements that bind the Universe such as earth, air ,fire and water. Most of them are quite shy, although there are a few that are definitely more extrovert and who love any opportunity to show off and party. Trogs also love to dance especially to disco music and this may be why most Trogs love anything sparkly.
They are tiny, but slightly larger than your average fairy or pixie ( although you can get some extra large pixies ).
There are many different types of trogs, all with a rich history of magic and enchantments used for different purposes to help the world around them.
All trogs love to garden and care for plants and wildlife. Strawberry trogs, as their name suggests, love to see berries bloom and ripen , especially strawberries. There is nothing a Strawberry Trog loves better than the scent and colour of a sweet ripe strawberry. They love to eat them, although being so small half a small strawberry with a smidgeon of cream and sugar is enough to satisfy them.
If you want to catch a glimpse of this delightful creature you can sit near a strawberry patch at dawn or dusk as the light changes and you might, just might catch a glimpse of movement in amongst the leaves. Usually a little spark of golden light appears when they are tending the plants as they weave their magic into the soil.
Whole families of these kindly Trogs can tend one field of strawberries or reside in gardens where strawberries grow. But most humans will never know or see their tiny dwellings hidden in trees and bushes unless they look really closely and believe in magic. ✨
If you see one it is considered an omen of great good fortune and you know that your garden will always flourish and your strawberries will taste extra sweet each summer.
